Elijah craig barrel proof kevin bryan and shanne pick (Rishiโs international beverage) 64%
๐๐ป toasty baking spices with a really sweet backbone, brown sugar?
๐ yea bery nice. Mostly burnt dry wood, pretty punchy but not too hot, some sweetness but not much compared to nose. Some wood, some barky/herbal notes. Overall this is a nice pick and well balanced ecbp. 88.
Elijah craig barrel proof 10y bot bev sup 58.7%
๐๐ป corny and toasty. Barrel char. Corn/fruit syrup
๐ oh wow this is lightest ecbp ive ever had. Its mostly toasty and baking spices. Super smooth at 58%. Pretty sweet. Syrup/vanilla notes. Little oak. This is flavorwise straight forward and well balances but I love how it feels. Really really nice stuff. 88.
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof 11y Tab&Vine pick 60.5%
๐๐ป toasty cherries. Fruit syrup.
๐ hot, sweet. Burnt sugar. Honey. Vanilla. Yea its decent. Its got a nice oak on the finish. 79.
Elijah craig barrel proof 10y Superfine 62.7%
๐๐ป vanilla/toasty. Syruppy
๐ pretty herbal. Cloves/fennel. Borderline overoaked. Little minty finish. Lots of burnt notes. Burnt finish. This is good but what I appreciate is that its a great single barrel. Definitely unique. 86.
Elijah craig barrel proof bev wh pick 11y 60.9%
๐๐ป so nice. Old leather, nutmeg, cloves. Maple syrup.
๐ oh my. Loads of cloves and leathery notes. Burnt sugar. Wow this is gorgeous. 92.
Elijah craig barrel proof burlington pick 10y 62.7%
๐๐ป toasty dusty. Really nice cherry pie note. Awesome nose.
๐ hot, sweet and toasty. Brown sugar. Oak. Yea the palate doesnโt follow up how awesome the nose was. Still good. Water doesnt really change much. 80. Really nice long buttery finish.
Elijah craig sib bcls pick 6262702 64.5%
๐ smells awesome especially out of the bottle, loads of toasted cinammon cherries.
๐ tastes like rocket fuel lol. Its surprisingly drinkable for how hot it is but yea. Going to rank low when I do the sbs. 76.
Overall
Similar to the A/B/C batches, the picks are wildly different both in tasting notes and tastiness. I have about the same variance (77-92) in the 15 or so batches Iโve tried. With the exception of the stellar batches and the stellar picks which are about a quarter of them, Iโm not sure these are worth it. Most of them are at least solid though.
Cheers!! Simon
