Ayo! See below some reviews of Carn Mor Celebration of the Cask series šŸ™‚ photo cred RB.

TL;DR these are awesome for the most part. The two Highland Parks were the standouts for me.

Highland Park 19y 1995 Carn Mor 51.9%

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» mostly jammy oaky. Heavy toasted note. Dates. Realy big and bold heavy sherry nose. Its got a really nice dry smoke in there too. Amzing nose

šŸ‘… wow. Thats unreal. Loads of smoky dates and oak. All the flavors perfectly integrated. Feels great. I’d love a bottle of this. Its got a little sweet candy note too. My goodness. Yea, what a start to this tasting. 95.

North British 22y 1995 57% Carn Mor

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» lots of fruit syrup. Little tart bitter note. Unripe citrus. Little pot pourri. Decent nose

šŸ‘… loads of pot pourri on the palate. Some caramel. Some fruit syrup. Some oak. Its kind of an imature oak note, or like a processed oak, like the lumber aisle at home depot as opposed to one in the forest. Feels decent. Overall this is just solid. Was expecting a bit more. 82.

North British 23y 1992 58.3% Carn Mor

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» oooh lively, loads of burnt notes and cranberry jam notes. Barrel char. Nose on this is crazy good

šŸ‘… 😱 thats insanely good. Cherries, barrel char, cranberries, nice boddy, feels awesome. Lively/punchy. Amazing finish, the finish is like cranberry dark chocolate oak. Damn this is good. Would love a bottle. 95.

North British 24y 1989 56.3% Carn Mor

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» interesting this one is kinda in between the other two. More on the fruit syrup side. Grenadine.

šŸ‘… hmm, yea this is heavy on the fruit syrup on the palate and oak on the finish. Little balsamic. Overall this is delish but the fruit syrup notes a touch too heavy handed. 90/91.

Speyside 17y 1997 56.9% Carn Mor

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» malty honey. Beautiful floral and raw honey notes.

šŸ‘… hmm thats super delish. Its nice feel malty, raw honey, floral, and then a candied note on the finish. Really lovely dram. Yum yum. Guessing Strathisla. Its the only single malt ive had this candied. 91.

Benrinnes 1995 carn mor black gold 23y 48.8% NOTE below are two reviews of the same bottling from two different bottles 1 year appart.

šŸ‘ƒ lovely balsamic raspberry oak notes.

šŸ‘… oh ya. Ditto. Thick but spicy. Lovely finish. Very balsamicy i love this stuff. 92

Redo diff bottle

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» grapes. Grape field. Cola. Raspberry oak

šŸ‘… hmm yea loads of raspberry, toasty. Oaky. Oh heavy raisin finish. Yea this is like juice haha but very delicious juice. Not getting as much balsamic notes as previously. Little bit. Oak. Yea this is lovely stuff, good with 92.

Glenrothes 22y 1997 58.7% Carn Mor

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» seaside and fruit syrup. Theres almost like a milky farmy aroma too lol. I like it.

šŸ‘… oh nice haha that milky flavor comes through haha. Really nice molasses, oak, toast notes too. Little heat on the finish thats welcome. Dates. Yea this is very solid. 92/93. Has a very fresh long finish, like i just had listerine.

Bunnahabhain 1995 20y 51.1% Carn Mor

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» oaky jam. Balsamic.

šŸ‘… oooh delish. Its oaky, its jammy, dark cherries. Definitely not particularly bunna-y. Actually theres a nice bunnaesque nutty note there. Very nice. 91.

Highland Park 24y 1989 49.4% Carn Mor

šŸ‘ƒšŸ» lovely. Light smoke, molasses, dates.

šŸ‘… hmm yea thats delish. Heavy oak, tobacco, dry smoke, damn thats good. Love that oak tobacco finish. Like a full out humidor finish. Might be my favorite one of the tasting wow. 96.

Cheers! 🄃
