Meikle Toir the sherry one 48%


👃🏻 damp firepit. Heavy char. Liquid smoke, bbq sauce. Heavy firepit forest note.

👅 nice feel. Firepit. Salty liquid smoke bbq sauce. Very nice peat sherry combo. No complaints. 87.

👃🏻 dirty butt. Earthy.

👅 sweet, thin, salty. Peaty. I might guess tali on the nose now. 82/83. Scott 88/89.

👃🏻 heavy earthy peat. Little sweet note. Sea air fishy note. Almost mezcal-y

👅 great feel, thick and fizzy. fishy, citrus, peat, salt. Dang, thats super well done young peater. 88.


Overall

Hmm, I don’t know I had higher hopes. These are fine as peated drinkers but I was hoping for something closer to Benromach. This is heavily peated stuff and doesn’t really differentiate itself from Islay the way Ledaig, Benromach, or Talisker does. The Original and The Sherry are certainly solid peated drams. I wasn’t a big fan of the Chinquapin though.
